Handmade Cards

Using a Sketch for May

Its been a while since I’ve used a sketch when creating a card, and I really enjoyed it. Its a good way to start thinking about a new design for a card and maybe try something different.

The fabulous  ‘Make the Day Special‘ stamp store have a competiton blog and this month they have provided a sketch to follow. Here is my card following the sketch:

I’ve used some of my favourite products of the moment on this card and I’m really pleased with how it looks.

Products used to make this card:

  • Wplus9 ‘Happy Trio Dies’
  • Lawn Fawn ‘Party Balloons Lawn Cuts’
  • We R Memory Keepers ‘Chalkboard’ 6×6 paper
  • Avery Elle ‘Dotted Borders Elle-ments’
  • Bazzill Basics Dotted Swiss card

Here is the sketch from Make the Day Special that I used:

  2. This is lovely! I really like the colours you’ve used. I’m finding sketches make me think more about the cards I make – always good to be confined sometimes, makes me think harder about the design! Xx
