Today’s card features the Altenew Oriental Orchids stamp set, and I’m joining in with the the Altenew April inspiration challenge. The challenge image is from Thailand and features a colour palette of navy, lilac, turquoise and white.
I heat embossed flowers and leaves from the set in white embossing powder. I used my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush pens and a water brush to colour them in. The leaves are coloured using distress inks as I don’t have a turquoise colour in the Zig pens. I allowed them to air dry before fussy cutting them out.
Next, I die cut a Lawn Fawn Stitched Circle Frame from white card twice. I inked these with distress ink in chipped sapphire, then adhered them together for some subtle dimension.
On the circle left over from die cutting the frame, I heat embossed in gold a sentiment from the Clearly Besotted It’s Your Birthday stamp set. I blended some lilac distress ink on to the circle.
On the bottom edge of an A6 card front, I stamped a Clearly Besotted diagonal border stripes stamp in teal ink. I used my mini Misti so I could get perfect stamping.
On a piece of white card, I attached all the elements. I added a thin strip of gold glitter paper before attaching the white card to the card front. I finished the card with some sequins.
I’m entering this card into the following competitions:
