I’m thrilled to be this week’s guest designer at Addicted to CAS!
This week’s competition code word is ‘FLY’. So many possibilities with this word! Here’s what I came up with, I hope you like it:
I started this card by stamping on white card an image from the MFT Distressed Patterns stamp set several times with a rainbow of distress ink colours.
I die cut from vellum a large butterfly from the Lil’Inker Stitched Butterflies die set. I added some Wink of Stella glitter to the butterfly. I also die cut a smaller butterfly from silver glitter paper. I layered these on top of each other, securing with some liquid glue. I added a small adhesive gem on top. I attached this to the card, over the rainbow distressed pattern. I then ran this through my card to add the stitched flying line that comes with the set. Such a fun detail.
I chose a sentiment from the Altenew Birthday Greeting stamp set, stamping in black ink. I then added some Pretty Pink Posh sparkling clear sequins around the sentiment.
I attached everything to an A6 card front, then finished the card by rounded the bottom right corner to soften that edge.
I hope you have as much fun with this challenge as I did. Have a great day!
So glad, that you are guest designing today! What a great combination of rainbow background and vellum butterfly!
