For my Christmas cards this year, I’m aiming to keep as many of them as I can as one layer cards. I love layers and embellishments but they do add to the bulk when mailing.
I found the WPlus9 Folk Art Flurries stamp set on eBay recently for a good price. This set has beautiful snowflakes in different sizes.
I started by die cutting a circle mask. I used removable adhesive to place it on an A6 card base.
I chose a few snowflakes in different sizes from the stamp set, and stamped them around the mask. I also stamped a few over the edges of the mask so the circle is defined.
I removed the mask and any leftover adhesive. This is important as I don’t want embossing powder sticking where it shouldn’t. I prepped the card with anti-static powder, then stamped a sentiment from the Clearly Besotted Brushed Greetings stamp set in Versamark ink, before heat embossing with silver embossing powder.
A simple one layer card that can be recreated easily with other colours….which is exactly what I did!
