Pretty Pink Posh 5th Birthday Celebration Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m excited to be joining this blog hop, celebrating Pretty Pink Posh’s 5th Birthday and January release!

If you’re following along the blog hop, you should have arrived here from the fabulous Heather Hoffman. I’ll list all of today’s blog hop participants below, if you want to start at the beginning.

My card today features the beautiful Crocus Flowers set with the Celebrate Shaker die. Both are new with the January release. I love PPP floral sets as they are wonderful for colouring and the crocus flowers frame this new die perfectly.

I began by stamping the images from the Crocus Flowers stamp set. I coloured them with copic markers, then die cut them with the coordinating dies.

Next, I added some stick it adhesive to the back of some gold glitter card, then die cut it with the new Celebrate Shaker die.

I cut a piece of white woodgrain paper to fit my card base, then arranged the flowers and celebrate die where I wanted them to go on the card. Once I was happy with the placement, I adhered everything down and trimmed away anything overhanging the card base. For a couple of the flowers, I used foam tape for dimension.

As there’s a lot going on with this design already, I decided not to add any sequins or jewels this time.

  23. Wow! Now this card is so creative! Really outside the box! I love the flowers surrounding the Celebrate doe cut! Brillian! This is such an amazing new release by PPP – and you’ve really made it sparkle!

  25. I am really digging the gold (SPECTACULAR), purple, and yellow colors! It is like a parade of Easter colors but amped up! I really like it a lot! Plus you put it on that wood grain paper and that really makes it pop! Such a great card!!!!

  42. How do I love this card? Let me count the ways. You colored the flowers amazingly, and I love that you went with the purple and yellow instead of just purple. Also, the gold frame is such a fabulous touch. Thanks for sharing with us!
