Pretty Pink Posh August 2019 Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m so excited to be joining this blog hop, celebrating the Pretty Pink Posh August release!

If you’re following along the blog hop, you should have arrived here from the wonderful Angelica Conrad. I’ll list all of today’s blog hop participants below, if you want to start at the beginning.

My card today features a mix of the new release with some previously released sets from Pretty Pink Posh. I love mixing sets to make my scenes.

I began with my background, using one of the new Fall Borders to emboss a pattern three times across a card panel. I used a beautiful Copper Pearl embossing powder from WOW, which gives a softer look than a metallic copper powder.

I adhered the panel to my card base, then die cut the Decorative Tag 2 die from white card. I adhered this over the embossed panel.

Next, I stamped some images from a couple of sets – the new Fall Signs stamp set and the previously released Autumn Wreath stamp set. The leaf and acorn images from this set echo the images in the embossed Fall Border, which really helps to bring the design together.

I coloured all the images with copic markers, then die cut with the coordinating dies. I stamped a sentiment from the Fall Signs stamp set. There are lots of different options to choose from in this set, and even more sentiments available in the previously released Animal Signs stamp set.

I arrange the leaves on the card, then adhered them with liquid glue. I added the squirrel and acorns with foam tape.

Finally, I placed some Rose Gold sequins amongst the leaves, to add some sparkle and complement the pretty embossed borders.

  38. What a fun fall card! I love the assortment of leaves and acorns that make up the new PPP border stamp. The squirrel is a cute “ambassador” of the autumn season, and really makes me smile in this design!
