I’ve created two cards with the Picket Fence Studios I Work for Watercolor stamp set and WOW Clear Gloss and Neutral Ultra Shimmer embossing powders.
When painting with watercolours, I like to emboss my stamped images first. This helps to give a strong line and also contain the watercolour within the embossed lines.
As I wanted to use rainbow colours for my cards, I decided to stamp the images on watercolour card with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I embossed the lines with WOW Clear Gloss Super Fine embossing powder, then used my WOW dual speed heat tool to melt the powder.
I used Nuvo Shimmer Powders to paint my images, mixing the powders together to get a range of different colours. I added flicks of colour, then dried the panels with the heat tool.
Next I stamped the large ‘be creative’ sentiment on both panels, using Versafine onyx black ink. This time, I embossed with WOW Neutral Shimmer powder for a touch of sparkle.
On the slimline paintbrush card, I also stamped a small sentiment and added a thin black strip of pearlescent black card at the base.
I think these cards would work well as framed art in a craft room too.
