WOW Embossing and Paper Rose Studio Collaboration Blog Hop Day 2

Hello and welcome to my blog! Today the WOW Design Team are joining forces with the fabulous Paper Rose Studio team for a fun-filled Blog Hop.

If you’re following along the blog hop, you should have arrived here from Kasia Leach. I’ll list all of today’s blog hop participants below, if you want to start at the beginning.

I love cherry blossom so I was excited to work with the beautiful Paper Roses Lovely Florals Blossom Border.

From white card, I die cut the Paper Roses Lovely Florals Blossom Border. I’m just keeping the frame piece so discarded the other pieces from the die cut.

I adhered this frame onto a panel of white card, which I’d blended spun sugar distress oxide ink onto. I trimmed the panel and frame down to the stitched edges, as I plan to layer another die cut panel over the top.

On three other pieces of white card, I covered with WOW clear embossing ink, then embossed each with a different WOW pink embossing glitter. I used Taffeta Pink, Razzleberry (from the Summer Scoops Trio) and Tanzenite (from the Gemstone Trio).

I then die cut each embossed panel with the Paper Roses Lovely Florals Blossom Border. A metal shim is helpful to get a good cut with this intricate die. I kept all the inside pieces from the die cuts, discarding the frame pieces.

I adhered different embossed petals into my white die cut frame, using a mix of all three embossing glitter colours. This takes some time but I think the results are so pretty!

Next, I took a white card panel, the same size as my card base, and added stick-it adhesive at the back. I die cut the panel using the Paper Roses Lovely Florals Blossom Border.

I stamped a sentiment on the panel, from the Hello Bluebird Rainbow Script stamp set. I then adhered the panel over the top of the other white die cut. This gives the frame some lovely dimension, with the embossed petals set back slightly.

Finally, I adhered the panel to my card base and some Pretty Pink Posh Pearl White jewels around the flowers.
