Spellbinders July 2021 Clubs Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m excited to be joining this blog hop, sharing inspiration using the Spellbinders July 2021 Clubs!

If you’re following along the blog hop, you should have arrived here from Tracy Ware. I’ll list all of today’s blog hop participants below, if you want to start at the beginning.

For my card, I used  the Glimmer Hot Foil kit. Club kits are available separately as monthly subscriptions. They are also available together as part of these Value club options:

For my July glimmer kit project, I created a pattern with different foiled rectangles. Continuing this theme, I opted for a rainbow pattern of foiled rectangles, this time all in the same size.

I foiled the smallest of the glimmer plates with polished brass foil on a rainbow of cardstock.

I trimmed the panels down so there were the same size, then adhered the panels at a diagonal on a card base.

On one of the rectangles, I added a foiled a sentiment with polished brass foil. Spellbinders have several sets with these skinny sentiments, which fit well in the small rectangle in this kit.

Finally, I trimmed away anything overhanging the card base to finish.

  1. Gemma those pops of color on the rectangles is really pretty. I just am getting into foiling and having so much fun with the Glimmer system. TFS

  2. It is unexpected and very effective using the foiling on each rectangle. Polished Brass and Matte Gold are my two favorite foils to use.

  3. This is the prettiest card on the hop. Seriously, I love all these colors but at the same time you kept it simple. Thanks!
