Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m so excited to be joining this blog hop, celebrating the Pretty Pink Posh March release!
If you’re following along the blog hop, you should have arrived here from the fabulous Yana Smakula. I’ll list all of today’s blog hop participants below, if you want to start at the beginning.
My card features the beautiful new Cherry Blossoms stamp set and coordinating dies. Cherry blossoms are a favourite of mine so I was very excited to see this wonderful set in the Pretty Pink Posh March release.

I began by creating an acetate panel for my card. I cut a panel of heat resistant acetate and treated it with an anti-static powder tool, before stamping the cherry blossom flowers and leaves with versamark ink. I then heat embossed them with white embossing powder.
I cut two panels of white card stock, the same width as my card base but about a third of the height. I adhered the acetate panel between them, to make one panel the same height as my card base.

On the back of this panel, I adhered some foam sheet behind the card pieces. This gives some dimension, which helps the heat embossing on the acetate stand out when placed on a card base.
Next, I blended some distress oxide ink in tattered rose and picked raspberry on to the front of the card base. I kept the colour just to the centre area, which will then show behind the acetate window.

Before adhering the panel to the card base, I stamped my sentiment with black ink. This lovely sentiment is from the new Encouraging Greetings stamp set. The set has such wonderful sentiments!
I then stamped the images from the Cherry Blossoms stamp set, and coloured them with copic markers. I chose colours to match the distress ink blend on the card base, and kept the colouring simple. I also added some shimmer to the flowers with the Wink of Stella clear glitter pen.

I die cut the images with the coordinating dies, then adhered them in a cluster on the card. I used some foam squares behind the top flower for some more dimension.
I finished with a few Pink Blush jewels, which coordinate beautifully with the colours on my card.

This is really beautiful. I love cherry blossoms too, as I grew up in Japan and remember seeing tons of them in the spring. I love how you used acetate. At first I thought it was a die cut between two panels! Gorgeous
