Today I’m sharing a card with some fun products from the Pretty Pink Posh winter release. I’m also celebrating continuing on the Pretty Pink Posh team next term.
I love this Layered Candy Cane background. Just this as a background with a sentiment would make a great card, and would be easy to mass produce. I decided to team it with the popular Winter Mug and Holiday Mug add on die set.
For the background, I blended on Festive Berries and Lost Shadow distress oxide inks through the Layered Candy Cane stencil (2 layers). I used the Waffle Flower Grip Mat to hold down the card and stencil, which was so much easier than using tape.
I adhered the background down on an A2 card base, then worked on the rest of the card.
I die cut the Winter Mug from red pearlescent sparkle card, and added die cut marshmallows, candy cane, and drink using this original set.
The Santa belt and buckle are from the new Holiday Mug die set. I love how these look on the red mug.
To soften the background behind the mug, I die cut an Eyelet Rectangle from vellum. I adhered the mug to the vellum, then added adhesive to the vellum, hidden behind the mug, before adding them to the card base.
To finish, I heat embossed a sentiment in gold, from the Sentiment Strips: Christmas stamp set. I die cut it with one of the Sentiment Strips dies, then added it to the card with foam tape.
