Pretty Pink Posh March 2024 Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m pleased to be joining this blog hop celebrating the Pretty Pink Posh March release!

If you’re following along the blog hop, you should have arrived here from Heather Hoffman. I’ll list all of today’s blog hop participants below, if you want to start at the beginning.

My card features the new Big Easter Cupcakes and Eyelet Circles die sets, along with the Layered Bunny Faces stencil. I love the cute bunny hopping away.

I began by working on the background to my card. The Layered Bunny Faces stencil set has 3 layers. I used distress oxide inks to add some pink bunnies to an 6” square piece of white card. I trimmed the card down slightly, then adhered it to an 6” square card base.

Next, I die cut pieces from the Big Easter Cupcakes die set from coloured card stock. I also die cut the cake piece and banner from the previously released Big Birthday Cupcake die set.

I chose green for the cupcake wrapper and chocolate brown for the cupcake, to represent grass and earth for the bunny.

To give the cake a place to sit on the card, I die cut an Eyelet Circle from white card. I then adhered the cake on top, followed by a rainbow of Easter eggs to add around the base of the cake.

The sentiment is from the new Sentiment Strips: Easter stamp set. I stamped this onto the banner, and added some very light pink copic colouring along the bottom edge of the banner. I then adhered this across the cake to finish.
