I thought I’d have a go at creating a galaxy background with distress inks. I was pleased with my first try at this technique so made a card using it.
How I made this card:
I blended distress ink in various colours on to a piece of watercolour paper. I then spritzed it with perfect pearls for shimmer. Once I’d dried it with my heat tool, I then added droplets of perfect pearls, water, and some white acrylic paint.
I attached the galaxy piece to some dark blue cardstock at an angle. As it needed a splash of colour, I added a strip of watercolour paper which I’d coloured using evergreen bough distress ink.
The greeting is from MFT stamps, heat embossed with white embossing powder. I finished the card by adding some card candi, which I’d previously covered with glossy accents.
Products used to make this card:
- Distress inks
- Ranger Perfect Pearls
- MFT Birthday Greetings Stamps set
- Versamark ink
