CAS with WPlus9 Doodle Buds

Having recently got some Zig Clean Colour Real Brush pens, I wanted some stamped images to colour in. The WPlus9 Doodle Buds stamp set is a really fun set of flower images, leaves and stems. It’s great for a variety of colouring techniques too.

I wanted to create a clean and simple card to show off the flowers and the colouring.


How I made this card:

I stamped the images and sentiment with Versafine Onyx Black ink onto watercolour card, and left it to dry. This ink is good for watercolouring as I’ve found it’s less likely to smudge and run with water.

I choose pinks, purples, and blue colours from my set of Zig Clean Colour Real Brush pens. I used a water brush to help blend the colours together as I worked. I decided not to colour the leaves in as I wanted the flowers to be the focus.

Once the watercolouring had dried, I trimmed down the card to fit an A6 card front, rounding one of the corners for interest. I added some white detail to the flowers with a gel pen, and a sprinkling of sequins to finish.
