I discovered my set of Karisma colouring pencils recently, which I had as a joint present with my sister when we were younger. These pencils are amazing to colour with, very soft and blendable. I thought I’d use them to colour this beautiful fuchsia from Clearly Besotted.
How I made this card:
I stamped the image in light grey on to white cardstock. I used a light ink so it would almost disappear once the colouring was finished.
I added base colour with my promarkers, then detail with the coloured pencils, building up the colour in layers from light to dark. I tried to make the flowers at the back lighter in colour to add depth to the image.
Once I’d finished my colouring, I die cut the card with a stitched square die. I stamped the sentiment in one corner.
I added foam behind the square for dimension, then attached it to a card front, with a strip of chevron paper behind it. A few sequins finishes the card.
Products used to make this card:
- Clearly Besotted Beautiful Friend stamp set
- Promarkers
- Colouring pencils
- MFT Fresh Squeezed Chevron paper
- Pretty Pink Posh sequins
- Lawn Fawn Large Stitched Square dies
I’m entering this card into the following competition:
