I’m following the MFT sketch challenge today.
I stamped flowers from the MFT Delicate Pretty Poppies stamp set on to white card and coloured them with promarkers. I then die cut these with the matching dies.
Next, I took an A6 piece of card and cut a strip off one edge to make it narrower. I then cut that piece in two, with one side wider than the other. This will give the gap in the card.
From a piece of blue chevron paper from the MFT Fresh Squeezed Chevron paper pack, I cut strips to attach to the edges of the card, either side of where the gap would be.
I placed the flowers on the card to plan the layout, so I knew where to stamp the stems. I then stamped the stems on to the wider piece of card.
I cut a thin strip of blue glitter paper, just wider than the gap in the card. I stuck this down on an A6 card front. I then attached the card pieces with foam sheet. The glitter paper shows through the gap and really complements the chevron paper.
I attached the poppies to the card with adhesive. I then added some pretty pink posh sequins to finish.
I’ve entering the card into the following competition:
