Spellbinders Cherry Blossoms

I’ve been looking for a cherry blossom set for a while so was thrilled to get the Spellbinders Cherry Blossoms die set as a birthday present.

I die cut the images from watercolour card and coloured them with distress inks.

For the background, I blended mowed lawn distress ink onto watercolour card, then flicked it with water and perfect pearls to add interest.

I cut the panel down to be smaller than an A6 card, then cut the panel into 3 pieces, before attaching the cherry blossom branch and flowers. I could have cut the card after attaching the images, but I don’t trust my paper trimmer not to mash up the edges, so decided to work this way round.

I added foam sheet behind the panels, then adhered them to a dark grey card base.

For the sentiment, I die cut in silver glitter paper the ‘birthday’ word die from the MFT Brushed Greetings die set. I then stamped ‘happy’ from the Clearly Besotted A Little Sentimental stamp set above.
