I’m joining in with the Altenew May inspiration challenge today. The destination this month is Australia, and the image has a lovely colour palette. I chose the navy, yellow and white colours for my card.
The Seven Hills Crafts challenge this month is to feature embossing, so I’m combining these two challenges.
I started by heat embossing the outline images from the Altenew Peony Bouquet stamp set in white onto card. I stamped the layers to build the images, then die cut them out.
For the background I blended chipped sapphire distress ink onto white card, keeping the most colour in the top left corner and blending to white in the lower right. I flicked the background with perfect pearls mist. I then adhered this to an A6 card front.
I added a thin strip of black card and silver glitter paper at a diagonal, as a way to anchor the flowers to the card.
I used liquid glue to attach the flowers and leaves in the top left corner. The sentiment is from the Avery Elle Sentimental stamp and die sets.
I finished the card with some sequins.
I’m entering this card into the following competitions:
Wow!! Such a dramatic colour combo…really pops out in the gallery! Beautiful card:)
Thanks for joining in with our challenge this month at Seven Hills Crafts 🙂
