I’m playing along with the challenge at CAS(E) This Sketch today.
I began by die cutting a template for the branch using the Spellbinders Cherry Blossoms die set. Making your own stencils using dies you have is a great way to stretch your supplies further. I used gathered twigs distress ink to stencil the branch onto white card.
Next I die cut and embossed the flowers from the same set, then added colour with spun sugar and Victorian velvet distress inks.
I adhered the flowers to the card, including a few falling down from the branch.
I die cut, from silver glitter paper, the ‘hugs’ sentiment from the Avery Elle Sentimentals die set. I added this to the card underneath the branch.
I used double sided tape to add the card to an A6 card front, then rounded the corners with the WRMK Corner Chomper.
A few sparkling clear sequins from Pretty Pink Posh finishes my card.
