Handmade Cards

MFT Colour Challenge 61

I’m having fun joining in with the MFT challenges at the moment, as you can probably tell! I’ve been collecting the MFT mini ink cubes and have a nice selection now, so was excited to see I had three of the colours for this challenge.

I started by blending coral crush and persimmon inks onto a piece of white card. I then flicked it with water and also a pink perfect pearls mix, to create some patterns.

I ran the card through my die cut machine with a stitched rectangle frame, then adhered the frame to an A2 notecard. I added some detail to the rectangle piece with the basic stitched lines die-namics, before adhering to the card base too

Next, I cut vellum and white card tags, using a die from the Blueprints 27 set. I added a silver embossed greeting and heart image to the vellum tag – a nod to the grey in the colour challenge. The greeting is from the Once Upon a Time stamp set. On the other tag, I blended on berrylicious ink.

The princess image is from the Once Upon a Time stamp set, and is coloured with polychromos colouring pencils. I used a circle frame die to cut around the image. Before adding the frame to the card base, I blended on some more berrylicious ink, then added the princess image to the card with foam tape.
