2016 ended on a high, when my brother and his wife had a beautiful baby girl.
As I knew they were having a girl, I had time to prepare a card in advance. I was also able to personalise it with the name they had chosen for her.
I started by stamping two large elephants from the Clearly Besotted Baby Shower stamp set onto white card, using Hero Arts shadow ink. As this is a big stamp, I used my mini Misti to get good impressions by double or triple stamping.
Next, I stamped one of the smaller elephants from the Clearly Besotted Petite Baby Shower stamp set, in another Hero Arts shadow ink. I then added another large elephant to the right of the panel.
Above the baby elephant, I stamped my niece’s name, using the Concord & 9th Perfectly Penned stamp set.
I added a silver glitter ‘baby’, using a die from Clearly Besotted. I then added the panel to a white A6 notecard.
Here are two more examples of baby cards using this set, with the ‘boy’ and ‘girl’ stamps from the Baby Shower stamp set. For both these cards, I stamped directly on the card base.
