Today’s card is based on the MFT sketch challenge. I also used the current colour challenge colours as I really love this colour combo.
I thought I’d go for a grungy (is that the right word?) looking background this time!
I started by blending the three blue / green MFT colours from the challenge over the MFT brick wall stencil. I added some water flicks and some MFT distressed patterns in grey too, to distress the background.
To go with the grungy look, I took some liberties with the sketch and created an angle to the sketch horizontal line. I used an MFT stitched edge die-namic to cut the piece about a third of the way up from the bottom. On the card base, I blended on a grey ink to show through the gap.
I added the background piece flat onto the card base, with a thin black edge added at the bottom.
Next, I added a greeting using the MFT Label Maker Sentiments set, and some MFT musical notes from glitter card. I layered these over black musical notes, so they showed up better on the background.
