Handmade Cards

A Job for Coffee

I was gifted the wonderful Poppystamps Teacup Stack die for Christmas. It’s so fun and I love that it’s perfect for paper piecing.

For this card, I used the scalloped rectangle die from the MFT Blueprints 27 set to cut a white card rectangle. From this, I die cut the teacup stack on the right hand side.

I die cut another teacup stack from white card, adhering the two together for some dimension.

Before attaching the card rectangle to a dark brown card base, I stamped a sentiment from the Altenew Coffee Talk stamp set and heat embossing the word coffee in gold. I love the fonts in this set.

After adding this to the card base, I added the white teacup stack in the space.

Next, I die cut the teacup stack from two oriental print paper I have in my craft stash. I added the pieces into the teacup stack on the card, which adds a lovely splash of colour. I decided to leave the handles spaces empty, so the dark brown card showed through. I think it would look nice with these filled in too, so I might try that another time.

A few clear sparkling sequins finishes the card.
