I usually send a couple of Easter cards, so wanted an easy design that I could make two of for this year.
I decided on a banner surrounded by spring flowers. I stamped two banners from the Lawn Fawn Bannertastic stamp set. I don’t have any Easter sentiments, so I used the C&9th Perfectly Penned stamp set to create my own.
I began the sentiment stamping with my Memento Tuxedo black ink but discovered too late that it was running dry. I decided to go with it and stamped the top and bottom words using that. They have a fainter black look but as the middle word, stamped using MFT black hybrid ink, is darker, it kind of gives an impression of depth.
I used the coordinating die to cut out the banners, then added some light aqua to the banner for shadow areas.Next, I stamped some Altenew Hello Sunshine flowers and leaves, and coloured them with copics. I fussy cut them out and arranged on the card around the banner.
I adhered everything to a scalloped rectangle, with foam tape behind the banner for dimension, before adding it to a top folding A2 notecard.
I finished with some clear sparkling sequins.
so pretty!
