I’m joining in with the latest challenge at the Lawn Fawnatics blog.
I had to make a quick birthday card after forgetting to send one. I decided the Lawn Fawn Elphie Selfie set would be perfect for this as it includes a sentiment for such an occasion.
The card design needed to be simple so I began by die cutting an MFT single stitched rounded rectangle frame from white card. I attached the frame to a white card, then put that aside to work on the inner rounded rectangle piece.
I added some stitched detail before blending on a pink ombré of ink for a pop of bright colour.
I stamped and coloured an elephant and balloon from the Lawn Fawn Elphie Selfie stamp set, and cut them out with the coordinating dies. I adhered the pink rectangle and the images to the card front.
I stamped a Lawn Fawn Bannertastic banner with a sentiment from the Lawn Fawn How You Bean stamp set. I die cut this with the coordinating die and added some soft turquoise colour, before adding to the card with foam tape.
To finish, I stamped the ‘sorry I forgot’ sentiment on the inside of the card.
Simple but very effective!
