Handmade Cards

Seven Hills Crafts June 2017 Challenge

I love the theme of the June Challenge over on the Seven Hills Crafts blog. It’s ‘die cut a die cut’, and the possibilities for designs are huge so I hope you all have a go.

For my DT inspiration card, I used a Lil’Inker Designs cover plate to die cut a pattern on some MFT watercolour wash paper, then die cut the MFT Big Hugs from them.

I die cut a scalloped rectangle and then die cut the hugs words from this too. This helps to give a space for adding the letters back in.

I stamped some Mama Elephant Little Dogs around the word, then coloured them with copic markers.

I added the scalloped rectangle to a white card base, then layered the watercolour die cut word on to it, with foam behind the letters for dimension.

I finished the card by adding a MFT Label Maker ‘birthday’ word above the hugs.

I hope you’ll have a go at this fun competition. There’s a chance to win a voucher to spend in the store!
