I’m joining in with this weeks sketch challenge on the MFT blog. I decided to rotate the sketch to make it a vertical card.
I die cut a rounded rectangle using a die from the Blueprints 31 set. I adhered patterned paper to the edges, also cut with the die to get the same shape and stitching details.
On a smaller piece of card, I die cut a rounded rectangle frame. I won’t need the frame for this card but wanted the rounded edges to match the other die cut piece. To add interest, I added die cut stitched lines.
I blended abandoned coral distress oxide ink on the larger frame, flicked with water for details, then layered the stitched lines panel over the top with foam tape, showing the coral colour through the window.
I stamped and cut a cat and pillow from the Cool Cat stamp set, then coloured them with copics. I added these in the window with foam tape. I thought the cat needed a birthday hat, so added one from the Happy Hippos set.
The greeting is from the cool cat stamp set, heat embossed in gold on a vellum tag. I layered a smaller white tag behind and secured them with a staple, before adding to the card. I then finished the card with some PPP clear sequins.
This is sooo adorable! I love the colours you used & your colouring is awesome. I love it 🙂
