Christmas, Handmade Cards

Winter Wonderland

This morning, I woke up to a scene not that dissimilar to this card. Maybe not the rainbow of houses, but there’s a lot of snow! I don’t usually get much snow where I live so it was a surprise to look out of the window this morning and see everything covered in white.

This card was a nice easy one to make. I used my distress oxide inks to blend a winter sky on to a card base, then spritzed it with water for a snowfall effect.

On another piece of white card, I die cut the Lawn Fawn Little Town border, then copic coloured each of the houses, in rainbow order. I also added some yellow card behind the doors and windows.

Before adding it the card, I heat embossed a sentiment. I used my stamping platform to help me shape the clear stamp to match the hillside. I then added the panel to the card with some foam tape.

I love the clean and simple style of this card, with the vibrant sky and colourful houses against the snowy white hillside.
