Handmade Cards, Pretty Pink Posh DT

Wild Rose

I’m sharing a card today featuring the beautiful Wild Rose stamp set by Pretty Pink Posh. I love the images in this set, especially the texture on the leaves.

This set is part of the Spring Sale, where you can currently save 15% on any items in the Spring category in the Pretty Pink Posh shop, using the code SPRING15. There are some really lovely sets and embellishments included in the sale, so worth a look. Click here to go directly to the Spring category. Sale ends April 9th, 2018.

Rather than colouring in the images this time, I decided to make my own colourful background to stamp the flowers and leaf outlines over the top.

I began by creating some stencils using various circle dies in different sizes, cutting them out from some scrap paper. I chose some dye inks in pink, yellow and grey, and used blending tools to add circles to a panel of white card.

I used the stitched rectangle from the PPP Stitched Notes die set to cut down the background panel. Then I stamped the Wild Rose flowers and leaves in black ink over the top of the circles.

I stamped a greeting from the PPP Everyday Greetings stamp set on to the panel, then layered it over a piece of dark grey card, slightly larger to give a border. I then added it to a white card base, and finished the card with some PPP Pink Blush jewels.

I love the look of the outline images over the stencilled background. It’s a great way to stretch your stamp sets and get a different look.
