Playful Puppies

Today I’m sharing a card featuring the new Playful Puppies stamp set and coordinating dies from Pretty Pink Posh. This set is part of the May 2018 release, which goes live on May 5th! I love all the different puppy images in this set, as it makes scene building so easy.

I wanted to use the sweet sentiment included in the set, so choose two of the puppy images that face each other. I stamped these and coloured them with copic markers, then die cut them with the coordinating dies.

To give them each a place to sit on the card, I die cut two simple stitched diamonds from a piece of white card. The sentiment fits nicely in the space at the top, between them. I adhered this piece to a white card base with foam tape.

To add some pops of colour, I blended distress oxide inks in abandoned coral and cracked pistachio on to the diamond die cuts. As distress oxides stamp well too, they are great for tone on tone backgrounds. I stamped the two bone images in the same inks to add interest. I inlaid the diamonds back into the spaces in the card, using liquid adhesive so they sit back against the popped up panel.

Finally, I added the two dogs with foam tape over the diamonds so they face each other. They could be waving or playing catch with the ball, which I added below the stamped sentiment.
