Handmade Cards, Pretty Pink Posh DT

Koala Friends

Today I’m sharing another preview of the upcoming Pretty Pink Posh June release. Koala Friends is such an adorable set, and another must have. I really love the sentiment included in the set too.

I began this card by die cutting the Tic-Tac-Toe die four times from white card stock. I positioned one temporarily on to a card base, to figure out how tall I wanted the card base to be. I ended up trimming it down so it wasn’t as tall.

I then blended on some distress oxides on to the card base. I used lucky clover, cracked pistachio and twisted citron. I spritzed the background with a sparkle spray and some water too, then left this to dry.

I stamped the images from the Koala Friends set, then coloured them in with copic markers. I die cut them with the coordinating dies, then added some gel pen details.

Next, I stacked the Tic-Tac-Toe dies together with liquid adhesive, then glued this to the card base. For the sentiment, I cut a vellum banner and stamped the image with versafine onyx black ink. I then heat embossed it with sparkle embossing powder.

I layered the sentiment banner on to the card, adhering with a little liquid adhesive where it could be hidden by the critters, which I added to the card with foam squares,

Finally, I added some metallic gold jewels around the card. I love the look of the gold against the green background.
