Today I’m sharing a card for the September WOW Facebook challenge. There is a new theme each month, and this month is METALLICS.
I wanted to create a masculine card design as a contrast to a very floral card I’ll be sharing on the WOW blog later this month. I also wanted to try distress oxides and embossing on dark card for a change to my usual white card bases.
I die cut a rectangle of dark grey card, the same size as my card base. I used an MFT Circle stencil to add a pattern of circles with distress oxides.
For the embossed circles, I used the circle stamps from the Avery Elle Bunting stamp set to stamp in WOW embossing ink. I then embossed them with WOW Metallic Super Fine embossing powders in Silver and Platinum.
I also embossed a sentiment from the Altenew Birthday Builder stamp set to the larger circles, then adhered the panel to my card base to finish.
