Christmas, Handmade Cards, Hello Bluebird DT

Hello Bluebird Snow Play

For my card today, I used the fun Snow Play stamp set from Hello Bluebird, which is part of the October release. This is definitely one of my favourite Christmas sets as it has lots of cute critters and plenty of great sentiments too.

To begin, I die cut the Gallery Frame 1 die from white card. On the outside frame, I used a stencil from Echo Park to emboss some snowflakes with WOW Under the Sea embossing glitter. It gives a really beautiful wintery effect.

I adhered both the inside and outside frames onto a card base, then added some colour to the inside frame pieces using distress oxides. I embossed a greeting from the stamp set on to one of the squares, using WOW Metallic Platinum embossing powder, then adhered all the pieces onto the card.

Although there are lots of different critters in the Snow Play stamp set, I decided to use only the penguins on this card. I stamped the images with Copic markers, then die cut them out with the coordinating dies. I used foam tape to add the penguins to the card, and liquid glue for the snow ball and lights.

As the frame is so sparkly, I chose not to add any sequins or jewels this time.
