My card today features the soon-to-be released Pinata Party stamp set from Pretty Pink Posh, which is so much fun! I love the images and the sentiments in this set, as they are perfect for celebration cards. The January release is available on January 8th and is definitely not to be missed!
I began by stamping the unicorn pinata image onto white card and colouring with copics. I decided on a white unicorn so used some grey copics for shading. Then I coloured the mane and tail with pink, yellow and turquoise colours. I die cut it with the coordinating die, then added some clear glitter pen all over for lots of sparkle.
For the background, I wanted to create the look of the pinata fringe using a die from the Scallop Borders set and distress oxide inks. I cut two strips of card with the borders and added some picked raspberry ink to one and squeezed lemonade on the other. On the card base, I added some peacock feathers distress oxide ink to the bottom edge, then layered the yellow and pink borders over the top. Finally, I trimmed down another piece of white card with the scallop die, then layered this at the top.
I stamped a sentiment from the Pinata Party stamp set, then positioned my Pinata image above. Before adhering it with foam tape, I drew a line with a metallic gold pen from behind the image to the top of the card.
Using ink colours to match my copic colouring, I stamped the confetti images around the unicorn. To finish, I added some of the new Party jewels mix around the card. This mix is also part of the January release.
Love your piñata party cards – so cute & festive!
