Today I’m sharing a card for the March WOW Facebook challenge. There is a new theme each month, and this month is FOILS.
I’m fairly new to using foils so I’m enjoying learning how to use them. As I don’t have a laminator, I’m using the WOW Bonding Powder to adhere the foils. You’re more likely to get a vintage, distressed look with this technique. I really love this look, though.
I created a distressed oxide night sky for this card. Once dry, I used the Create a Smile Wave of Stars stencil with the WOW embossing ink to add stars to background. I covered them with WOW bonding powder, heated with the WOW dual heat tool, then applied the WOW Bright Silver Fab Foil. Remember to allow it to cool, before removing the foil.
The girl with the umbrella is from Hello Bluebird Rainy Day stamp set, and the sentiment is from Lawn Fawn Upon a Star.
