Spellbinders April 2019 Card Kit – 5 cards 1 kit

Today I’m sharing cards made with the Spellbinders April 2019 card kit, which was kindly provided to me by Spellbinders. The kit is packed full with everything you need to make at least 10 cards. It’s definitely possible to make more, though.

The Spellbinders card kit is a monthly subscription. You can also purchase the kit extras separately, if you only want select items or would like more embellishments.

The April 2019 card kit is called ‘Night Out’. This is a such a beautiful feminine kit, with an elegant colour palette.

In the kit, you get the following items:

• 10 textured white card bases with envelopes
• 7 pieces of cardstock
• Set of 10 dies
• Patterned paper pad
• Stamp set
• Sequins
• Foam stickers
• Tags
• Double sided tape & foam squares

I made 5 cards to share today. The only items I used in addition to the kit contents were:

• Liquid adhesive (for the sequins and smaller embellishments)
• Foam tape (I like to use a lot of foam tape so needed more than was included in the kit)
• Alcohol friendly black ink
• Spellbinders Platinum 6 die cutting machine
• Stamping platform

Here are the cards I made:

Card 1

• Cut a piece of striped patterned paper and adhere it the centre of the card.
• Add thin strips of silver mirror card either side.
• Die cut the dress from card and patterned paper. Use the score lines in the skirt to add pleats.
• Adhere the die cut dress pieces together, then add to the card.
• Add a sentiment die cut shape.

Card 2

• Cut a rectangle of striped patterned paper and layer over a piece of foiled patterned paper.
• Add to the card base, leaving room for a stamped sentiment underneath.
• Add the cake and some star foam stickers.
• Finish with a flower die cut shape.

(This card only uses the kit extras)

Card 3

• Cut a strip of patterned paper and layer over black card.
• Adhere to the left side of the card base.
• Cut a tag from mirrored silver card, using one of the kit tags as a template.
• Layer a tag from the kit over the silver one, then add to the card base.
• Add a flower foam shape.
• Adhere two die cut shape sentiments, using foam tape.

Card 4

• Cut a piece of blue swan patterned paper and adhere it on the card.
• Add thin strips of silver mirror card either side.
• Adhere the swan die cut shape.
• Place a sentiment foam sticker over the swan
• Finish with some star foam stickers.

Card 5

• Layer a panel of patterned paper over some grey card, then adhere to the card base.
• Add a tag on top with foam squares.
• Adhere a butterfly die cut shape to finish.
