Pretty Pink Posh April 2019 Release Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog! I’m so excited to be joining this blog hop, celebrating the Pretty Pink Posh April release!

If you’re following along the blog hop, you should have arrived here from the fabulous Carly Minner. I’ll list all of today’s blog hop participants below, if you want to start at the beginning.

The new April release from Pretty Pink Posh includes a fabulous Father’s Day set. It’s always great to have a masculine themed set on hand and this set is very versatile. As well as Father’s Day, it’s great for birthdays and the trophy would be perfect for congratulations cards too.

No.1 Dad

For the background of my first card, I die cut the smaller Scallop Circle die from white card. I blended on some tumbled glass distress oxide ink onto my card base, then adhered the circle frame with liquid glue.

Underneath the scallop circle, I stamped a greeting from the new Father’s Day stamp set.

I stamped the trophy from the Father’s Day stamp set and coloured with copic markers. I used YR23, Y15, Y11 and Y00. I then stamped the sentiment from the set onto the trophy.

For the laurel around the trophy, I found the perfect leaf image in the new Mother’s Day stamp set. I used copic markers in YG01, YG03 and YG17 to colour them in, then die cut everything with the coordinating dies.

I used foam tape to add the leaves around the edge of the scallop circle, then the trophy in the centre to finish.

You’re Amazing

For my second card, I used the fabulous new Wide Stripes stencil to add colour to my card base with distress oxide inks. I used Evergreen Bough, Broken China, Peacock Feathers, Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron.

Next I die cut the Storybook 6 die from white card, adhering the frame to my card base. I added some distress oxide inks to the frame panels, then adhered them to the card too.

I stamped two greetings in the smaller panel pieces. The sentiments are from the new Animal Signs set and the previously released Floral Hearts set.

I coloured some images from the Father’s Day stamp set with copic markers, and die cut with the coordinating dies. I then adhered them to the card with foam tape.
