Pretty Pink Posh Sunflowers

Today I have a card to share using the fabulous new August release from Pretty Pink Posh. The release is fall and Halloween themed and it’s really got me in the mood for those cooler days and cosy jumpers.

I absolutely love sunflowers, so I was really excited to see the Sunflowers stamp set in the new release.

I don’t always make a note of the copic colours I use, but for those interested, I used the following copic colours for my sunflowers, mixing a bit of the E50 shades into the petals: Y11, Y15, Y17, E53, E55 and E57.

I used the coordinating dies to cut out the sunflowers, then set them aside to work on the background.

A bold blue goes so well with the yellow of the sunflowers, so I chose blueprint sketch distress oxide ink for my background. I dried the ink on the panel, then used the new Wafer stencil to add a pattern with WOW Pacific Wave embossing glitter.

For the top portion of the card, I used a die from the Stitched Borders 3 die set to cut down a piece of white card. I stamped a greeting from the new Bear Friends stamp set at the top, then adhered the panel directly on top of the blue background.

I then adhered the sunflowers and leaves on top, using foam tape for the centre flower.

To finish, I added some white gel pen details and Espresso jewels to the centre of the flowers.
