Spellbinders May 2020 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit

Today I’m sharing a card I made with the Spellbinders May 2020 Glimmer Hot Foil kit and the add-on set.

This month, you get Thanks a Million. There is a fabulous large Thanks glimmer plate, along with glimmer sentiments and florals. There are 7 glimmer plates and 7 dies in this kit. You also get a roll of beautiful Blush foil, which I didn’t use on my project.

The Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil kit is a monthly subscription and a great way to build your collection of glimmer plates and foils.

You will need the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil machine to use with this subscription, plus a compatible die cutting machine. I used my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine. A list of compatible machines is available on the Spellbinders website.

I recently bought the Spellbinders Rainbow Glimmer Foil and this was the perfect chance to use it. In the U.K. and around the world, people are using rainbows to thank essential workers for their incredible work during the pandemic.

On a white piece of card, I used the Rainbow glimmer foil to foil the large Thanks from the kit. I use some washi or low tack tape to keep the plate in the right place on my card.

Next, I used some Polished Brass glimmer foil to add a sentiment in one of the gaps in the thanks letters. All the sentiments fit these spaces perfectly.

The kit includes a flower and leaf glimmer plates, along with the coordinating dies. As I wanted the large rainbow thanks to be the focus, I used Polished Brass glimmer foil to foil some flowers on white card and the coordinating dies to cut them out.

I added the flowers to the card with foam tape, then added the panel to a card base to finish.
