Spellbinders August 2020 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit

Today I’m sharing a card I made with the Spellbinders August 2020 Glimmer Hot Foil kit and the add-on set.

This month, you get Have a Crafty Day – a set of 6 glimmer plates, along with a roll of Aura foil. In the kit, there is one large border of crafty images, then 5 accompanying sentiments.

If there ever was a month to join, this is it! This kit is fabulous and just perfect for us crafters.

There’s also a add-on available, which offers 6 more sentiments to go with that wonderful crafty border in the main kit.

The Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil kit is a monthly subscription and a great way to build your collection of glimmer plates and foils.

You will need the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil machine to use with this subscription, plus a compatible die cutting machine. I used my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine. A list of compatible machines is available on the Spellbinders website.

As soon as I saw this fun border, I knew I wanted to use the rainbow foil with it. I cut a panel of navy card and foiled the border, then adhered this to the right side of a white card base.

On a white panel, I used rainbow and black foils to add the sentiments. I trimmed this panel down, then adhered to the left side of the card base.

To bridge the gap between the two edges, I adhered a thin strip of silver pearlescent card.

Add-on Kit Card

I made another card, this time foiling the border twice on white card with the rainbow foil.

I added some Chipped Sapphire distress oxide ink to a card base, then trimmed down the foiled panel and added to the card base.

I foiled two sentiments from the add-on set, using silver and rainbow foils. I cut this out with a FSJ Journey Circle die and adhered to the card with foam tape.
