Today I’m excited to share a brand that’s new to me.
Mama Makes is a UK company and they have fabulous clear photopolymer stamps and other goodies, including patterned papers, washi tapes, stamp subscriptions and even personalised stamps. As a U.K. crafter, it’s really great to see U.K. companies in the craft industry.
Loti from Mama Makes very kindly reached out to me to ask if I’d like to try some of her products and I’ve been enjoying creating with their stamps.
Today I have a card to share featuring two stamp sets – Cosmic Dreams – Dreamers Thoughts and Funky Borders.
I absolutely love the Cosmic Dreams – Dreamers Thoughts stamp set. The sentiments in this set are beautiful, with a lovely mix of fonts.
I began by creating a star shaped card base, using a die set from Heffy Doodle. By positioning the die over the top fold of a card base, it retains the fold when cut. I cut an additional large star to adhere to the card base.
I cut a smaller star, big enough to fit a sentiment from the Cosmic Dreams – Dreamers Thoughts stamp set. I stamped the sentiment with Versafine onyx black ink, then embossed with WOW Neutral Ultra shimmer.
On a larger die cut star, I covered it with embossing ink then heat embossed with WOW Midas Touch embossing glitter. I then adhered the sentiment star on top with foam tape.
To add some colour and interest to my card base, I used the Mama Makes – Funky Borders stamp set to add a pattern of stars in rainbow colours. This border set features 8 different borders. It was very easy to line up the stars to stamp the background in distress oxide inks.
