Clean and simple doesn’t always have to mean plain white spaces. By embossing stamped images with a clear or pearl white powder, you can add subtle interest whilst still getting the CAS look. The large floral images in the Pretty Pink Posh Peonies stamp set work well for this technique.

On a panel of white card, I stamped the images from the Peonies stamp set with clear embossing ink. I then heat embossed the images with my favourite WOW White Pearl embossing powder. This is a beautiful powder that has a pearly white look when it catches light, but is subtle enough for a CAS look. I trimmed the panel slightly, then adhered to my white card base.
I cut a second panel of white card and added some detail with the Lawn Fawn Just Double Stitching Rectangle die set. I heat embossed a greeting from the Pretty Pink Posh Simple Sentiments stamp set with WOW Metallic Gold Rich Pale embossing powder, then layered the panel on my card.

Next, I stamped a flower and leaves from the Peonies stamp set in black ink, then coloured with my copic markers. I used R00, R01, R20, R30 & R22 copics for the soft red peony. For the leaves, I used G40, G43 and G46.
I adhered the leaves with liquid glue to the card, followed by the peony with some foam squares to finish.
I think this style of card would work well for different occasions – birthday, wedding, even a sympathy card. The Pretty Pink Posh Simple Sentiments stamp set is a great set to have on hand to add just the perfect sentiment when you need it.
