Hello Bluebird Beach Play

Hello Bluebird’s latest release includes some fabulous summer sets – Beach Play and Come On In. The critters always look like they are having so much fun! My card today features the Beach Play set.

I created a mini scene on a panel of white card, using a square stencil. I blended on distress oxide inks in tumbled glass, antique linen and brushed corduroy. Then added dot details to the sand with my copic markers and white gel pen.

I used the Lawn Fawn Just Double Stitching rectangles die set to add detail to my panel, then adhered it to my card base. The sentiment is from the Beach Okay stamp set, stamped with Versafine Onyx Black ink. I find that pigment inks stamp better over the distress oxides.

I stamped and copic coloured some images from the Beach Play stamp set, then die cut them with the coordinating dies. For dimension, I adhered plain die cuts behind the rabbit, fox and bucket images.

I adhered the sand castle flat on the scene, then the other images beside that. To finish, I added some white and black gel pen details.
