Autumn Wreath & Gel Plate Stencilling

My card today features a stencilled gel print background. One of the main reasons I purchased a gel plate was to use it with detailed stencils. I love the look of detailed stencils but have always struggled to achieve the finer lines with traditional blending tools.

On my 6×6 inch gel plate, I added strips of distress oxide ink in Wild Honey, Rusty Hinge, and Frayed Burlap. I used a brayer to smooth the inks, then took a print.

I added the same colours to the gel plate again, then placed the Pretty Pink Posh Pumpkin Background stencil on top. I took a second print on the same piece of paper to add the stencilled pattern, then trimmed down the panel and adhered to my card base.

On kraft card, I stamped and embossed the Pretty Pink Posh Autumn Wreath with WOW Metallic Gold Rich embossing powder.

I coloured the wreath with Zig Clean Colour Real Brush pens, then die cut it with the coordinating die. I also die cut two extra wreaths to add dimension.

I stamped a sentiment from the Autumn Wreath stamp set on the card, then adhered the wreath in place.

To finish, I added Metallic Gold & Amethyst jewels to the berries on the wreath.
