Hello Bluebird Polar Friends

Today I’m sharing a card using the new Winter release from Hello Bluebird. This adorable stamp set is called Polar Friends, and I’ve teamed it with the new Big Mountain Scene die.

This fabulous scene die cuts all the pieces in one pass of the die machine. To add some depth to the scene, I layered the mountains, sky and one of the ground layers from the scene die behind a panel with a circle window of vellum.

I used some pattern papers for the sky and mountain. As the vellum knocks back the colours, it’s easier to use strong prints without them overwhelming the CAS design.

I die cut the Big Mountain Scene die again, from blue pearlescent card to give my scene a nice border. I then layered the other two white hill pieces from the die on top of the circle panel. I stamped a sentiment from the Polar Friends stamp set.

I coloured some images from the Polar Friends stamp set with copic markers, then die cut them with the coordinating. I layered some blank die cuts behind them for dimension, then used liquid glue to adhere them to the card.

To finish, I die cut some Frosty Flakes from white glitter card to adhere around the circle scene. I find adding stick it adhesive behind the glitter card before die cutting is the easiest way to adhere these on top of the vellum.
