Spellbinders Truly Yours Collection

Today I’m sharing cards made with products from the Spellbinders Truly Yours Collection. This collection is full of classic designs, with both dies and stamps, along with some great glimmer sets too.

I’m using the Heart Swans Etched Dies, Essential Classic Labels (dies and glimmer), and the Mini Sincere Glimmer Sentiments on my cards today.

Card 1

For my first card, I created a shaped card base using the new Essential Classic Label die set. By running the largest die through my die cutting machine with a folded card base, but with the top cut line above the fold, I can create a folded shaped card base. The top of the card will be straight, but I’ll be adhering another label die cut on top.

On another piece of card, I used the Scattered Hearts Background glimmer plate to add some gold foil hearts. I kept the foiling to the lower portion of the card. I repeated this step twice to get hearts all across the card, then die cut the panel with the largest Essential Classic Label die set. I also used the Large Label insert to add some dot details.

On my card base, I adhered a pink background, cut using the largest die from the Essential Classic Label die set. This pop of colour will show through the dot detail on the layer above.

I foiled a sentiment from the Mini Sincere Glimmer Sentiments, on white card in gold. I used the coordinating die to cut the sentiment out, layered a pink card banner behind, then adhered them to my card.

Finally, I die cut the pieces from the Heart Swans Etched die set. It’s very easy to put together. I created a pearlescent white swan with gold detail to the wings to match the gold foiled hearts. I added die cuts behind for dimension.

Card 2

For my second card, I used the Essential Classic Label glimmer set to add a pretty gold border to grey card. Once glimmered, I die cut the panel with the Essential Classic Label die set. I adhered this on a white square card base (4.75 inches).

I also glimmered a sentiment, from the Mini Sincere Glimmer Sentiments, on grey to match the background. I die cut this with the coordinating sentiment banner die and offset layered a white banner behind.

I die cut the pieces from the Heart Swans Etched die set to create two swans – a black pearlescent swan and a white pearlescent swan, both with gold details to match the foiled border and sentiment.

I adhered these to my card, then die cut lots of the flowers from the Heart Swans Etched die set to add around the swans to finish.
