Spellbinders August 2021 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit

Today I’m sharing a card made with the Spellbinders August 2021 Glimmer Hot Foil kit.

This month, you get the Hex Floral set, with 4 glimmer plates and 1 coordinating die. There is also a full roll of bright pink foil included.

The Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil kit is a monthly subscription and a great way to build your collection of glimmer plates and foils.

You will need the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil machine to use with this subscription, plus a compatible die cutting machine. I used my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine. A list of compatible machines is available on the Spellbinders website.

I was inspired by the hexagon die in the kit to make a floral quilt style pattern on my card.

I began by choosing 3 colours of pearlescent card and some Champagne foil. I foiled the two floral glimmer plates several times on the pieces of card.

I also foiled the sentiment and hexagon border on navy pearlescent card, using champagne foil.

Using the hexagon die, I cut out several hexagons from each piece of card, trying to capture different elements of the flowers.

I arranged the hexagons in a pattern on the right hand side of an A2 card base, adhering with liquid glue. For the sentiment hexagon, I used foam tape for dimension.
