Spellbinders September 2021 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit

Today I’m sharing cards made with the Spellbinders August 2021 Glimmer Hot Foil kit.

This month, you get the Glimmering Build a Banner set, with 8 hot foil plates and 3 cutting dies. You also get a full roll of Polished Brass foil.

The Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil kit is a monthly subscription and a great way to build your collection of glimmer plates and foils.

You will need the Spellbinders Glimmer Hot Foil machine to use with this subscription, plus a compatible die cutting machine. I used my Spellbinders Platinum 6 machine. A list of compatible machines is available on the Spellbinders website.

Card 1

I began by foiling the happy birthday sentiment onto navy card, with the polished brass foil. There are different sentiment options to choose from and it’s very easy to build the banner. I added some foam tape behind the pieces with sentiments on, for added dimension.

I thought the navy and gold banner would be perfect for a masculine card. I’ve been wanting to try the Spellbinders Colour Block Slices die set for a while so decided to combine them with the glimmer kit banner.

I created an ombre of blue colour block card slices and adhered them to a square 5.5″ card base. I then attached the glimmering banner central on the card to finish.

Card 2

I really enjoyed using this kit so decided to made a second card, this time with the banner foiled on white pearlescent card with polished brass foil. As with the first card, I used a mix of foam tape and liquid adhesive to build the banner.

I cut a panel of pretty rainbow patterned paper and splattered it with some gold perfect pearls powder, watered down a little. I then adhered the panel to my card base.

I added the foiled banner to finish this simple but effective card.
