Today I’m sharing a card made with products from the Spellbinders Merry Stitchmas Collection. Add pretty stitching details to your holiday projects with these elegant die sets.
I’m using the Sparkling Mandala Etched Die on my card today. This set is perfect for non-holiday projects too.
I used both dies in the set to die cut some white pearlescent card. For my stitching detail, I chose some DMC Diamant Metallic thread in light gold, then added more details with a blue embroidery thread.
Next, I die cut the mandala from navy pearlescent card. I just used the outer die this time. I added foam tape behind the white stitched mandala and offset layered it over the blue mandala.
For my card background, I used a stencil to dry emboss snowflakes onto a square of white card. I layered this over some navy pearlescent card, then added to a square card base.
I adhered the mandala in the centre of my card. For some more sparkle, I added some Pearl white jewels in places.
For the sentiment, I hot foiled a greeting from the Mini Christmas Sentiment Strips glimmer set. I used champagne foil on navy pearlescent card.
I cut the sentiment out with the coordinating die, then adhered across the mandala to finish.
