Today I’m sharing a card made with a beautiful set from Spellbinders Bibi’s Butterflies Collection.

I used the Delicate Butterflies Etched Dies on my card. This set has 8 metal dies to create butterflies in 3 sizes. This layering set is so versatile. Use the solid shapes and inlay dies together or separately to get many different looks.

I began by lightly pencil marking the vertical centre of an A6 card panel. I used this line to help position the three solid shape butterfly dies. Once die cut, I erased the line.
I die cut the butterflies again, this time from a panel of gold embossed card (card now discontinued). I then cut it in half and layered it over the white panel.

Behind my butterfly die cut panel, I adhered some patterned paper from Craft Consortium. I then adhered the whole panel to an A6 card base.
Next, I used the solid shape and inlay dies together to cut some white butterflies. I adhered these along the centre of each butterfly, leaving the wings free of adhesive so they can lift up from the card.

From dark navy card, I die cut the body of the butterflies, adhering them to my card.
Finally, I added a hot foil sentiment, using matte gold foil with a glimmer plate from the Mini Everyday Sentiments glimmer set. I die cut it with the coordinating banner die and adhered it across the centre butterfly with foam tape.

Thanks for joining me for a look at the Delicate Butterflies Etched Die set from Spellbinders Bibi’s Butterflies collection.
